The communities, towns and cities that line the shores of the Bay of Fundy play host to many exciting festivals and events throughout the year. In addition to annual festivals celebrating Loyalist and Acadian heritage, there are events that mark the seasons, such as apple blossom or harvest festivals, those that show an appreciation for local seafood, such as Scallop Days or the Fundy Food Festival, and other fantastic favourites such as Eastport’s Pirate Festival and Sussex’s Atlantic Balloon Fiesta. For some, however, it is the autumn, pumpkin-themed events that win first prize for originality, including the Pumpkin People Festival and the Windsor-West Hants Pumpkin Regatta.
Located on the Saint John Harbour, Market Square boasts being “New Brunswick’s Festival Place”. From their incredible Canada Day celebrations to Busker on the Boardwalk and the Salty Jam Music Festival and such weekly events as Cruisin’ to the Boardwalk (vintage vehicles) and competitions including Saint John Idol, Country Star and So You Think You Can Dance, Market Square and the Boardwalk are definitely the places to be in Uptown Saint John during the summer months.

This article is titled “Festivals & Events You Don’t Want To Miss”. Many, many folks deliberately avoid Atlantic-raid, some St. Andrews residents even leave town to avoid the roaring locusts altogether. Signs were put up in St. Andrews asking bikers to be considerate and quiet…the signs were stolen on the first night. Pretty much says it all.

Don’t forget about the Atlanticade Motorcycle Festival, based in St Andrews, New Brunswick, with events throughout Charlotte County from July 6th – 10th 2011.
“The event is organized in a family-friendly environment and is open to all makes and models of motorcycles. ATLANTICADE 2010 drew an estimated 10,000 participants from all 10 Canadian Provinces and 9 American States. Where it is located close to the New Brunswick – Maine border this early summer festival has now become a true “international” gathering of motorcyclists.”
